Yesterday at a mobile industry Panel and networking event I met Richard Robinson, a famous serial entrepreneur in Beijing, one of the founder of RenRen popular SNS.
We talk briefly about language learning tool and he recommended me a new service called iknow.jp I just had 5 minutes to check it out but it looks pretty promising, seems like a good mix of Lingt (flashcard), linqt (reader+flashcard) and livemocha (community and exercice). The registration was very fast and quite intuitive nagivation between tag. But for now the level diagnostic on the homepage is only for Japanese (i love diagnostic test!). So i tried the first level of advanced Chinese and the learning process is pretty cool, I like that they offer and sentence after you are able to recognize the word. Otherwise the process is quite similar to lingt. Can say yet if it is "better than ligt" but good potential! https://skitch.com/mayline974/ru6uy/simplified-characters-advanced-step-1-iknow-
