It was QingMing Holidays in China the last 3 days (the equivalent of All Saints Day), so I had a few day off to settle down. I actually read a post for Startup Digest Reading list a a few month ago about the importance to exercice for entrepreneur. What is important is not the quantity of hours you work but the quality, the efficiency. And you can not be at your best if you body is not following.Practicing karate for 10 years (and stopping praticing it for 8!) I know the good of regular sport activity: the release of endorphine in your muscles make you happy and more relax and pushing yourself up to your limits. It was something I missed. So yesterday I decided I will start running (and god I hate running!) every morning. So I did it, i woke up at 8:30 on holidays, wear my sneakers and wen for a run. I discover there is actually a stadium 5min from my residence and actually really enjoy being out, when is it not too hot yet and not so many people outside. Health is the most important thing of all. More important than your project, more important than your friend or family. Because if you are not healthy, we can not take care of those you care about and you can not achieve your dreams. The other reason that mades me woke up today to runa gain, if not only the health benefit of exercicing regularly but also the psychological aspect of it. This 20 min in am out running, is a time only for me where I think about what I achieved yesterday, what I want to achieve today and tomorrow. I make sure I am on the right track.
I believe everybody should regularly take sometimes for themselves, just to evaluate their live andmake sure they are doing exactely what they are suppose to be doing to achieve their life goal. I learnt that from David Allen Audio training about Getting Things Done. Too many people spend their life head down, living one day after another and not making plan. And one day they wake up, after 20 years and realize their life is not at all what they wish it to be. I dont want to be one of them, therefore, I run.
